Calling Snowdon Rocks Volunteers ….. we need YOU!
Diary date: 18th June 2016 – Event Start Time 11am – Finish 11pm
We are all very excited thatthe 10th Anniversary Snowdon Rocks event is only a few weeks away and we have our fingers crossed that there will be plenty of blue sky.
If you would like to volunteer…. We have the the following exciting experiences to offer!
What does the charity want to achieve?
Ultimately we want to raise peoples’ awareness that they have a local health charity Awyr Las/Blue Sky and the By Your Side Appeal.
Through the By Your Side Campaign we aim to raise £351,120. `This is the number of steps from Ysbyty Gwynedd to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd to Wrexham Maelor. Mike Peters will be walking this distance in May 2017 at the end of his appeal. So far; together we’ve managed to raise over £220,000
How Can I Help?
There are variety of roles you can get involved with, some of which include the below:
- Volunteer: Walker Support.
Qualified Mountain Leaders, cheering teams to send our hikers off and welcome back in after their day on the mountain.Video & photography support.
- Volunteer: Registration and entertainment Support.
Giving our walkers a great welcome, dealing with enquiries and supporting registration points. Welcoming our entertainers at daytime and evening gigs.
- Volunteer: Train & Bus arrangements Support.
Meet & greet teams, video & photography support.
- Volunteer: Fundraising support.
sales Snowdon Rocks draw tickets, event t-shirts.
A light-lunch for all our volunteers will be available at The Electric Mountain Visitors Centre.
What to bring
Leave your valuables at home and please do not leave anything of any value anywhere.
- If you have any issues on the day, please call:

- Money – but don’t carry too much, there are ATMs in the village
- Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses –will need these if the weather is good.
- Jacket or fleece – even when it’s been sunny during the day, the weather can change.
- Waterproof jacket, just incase we get rain!
- Suitable footwear, dependent on what volunteering task you are planning to do.

When you arrive
Make your way to the volunteer main hub which will be based at The Electric Mountain Visitors Centre in Llanberis. www.electricmountain.co.uk. Full details on travelling to the centre are available on the website or please contact by phone on 01286 870636.
On arrival please make your way the volunteer station located in the main building please follow signposts.
